چکیده
High Rate / Low Latency GPS ground measurements for the GPS occultation experiment of the Challenging IV&risatellite Payload (CHAMP) mission are provided by a dedicated global tracking network. The r&work. is being established jointly by GF?Z and Jet Propulsion Latmratory (JPL) to ensure adequate ground d@a auail&iIity for processing of globally distributed GPS qccultadon events. GFZ operates a sub-network, which is c@tz$rtly composed of 11 stations. This paper discusses vs@us sdieutific and technical issues such as network top&logy design, requirements for an autonomous and continuously operating GPS ground tracking station, near real time data transfer, interfaces and operational data flow.
